摘要：A catheter shaft design facilitates allows for simultaneous stringing of wires andmaintains a desired spacing and separation of the wires. In one implementation, a
catheter shaft () and a core structure () are formed in separate manufacturing sequences.The core structure () includes a number of receptacles () formed in an external surfacethereof and may further include a central lumen (). Wires (, and ) are placed into thereceptacles () and the core structure () with wires (and ) are inserted into the lumen of thecatheter shaft (). The wires (, and ,) can then be connected to electrodes or attached to acatheter tip so as to permit steering of the tip. The design can serve as a platform forvarious types of catheter.
