摘要：Synergistic surfactant compositions. Polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymersin which the polyether pendants bear carboxylic acid groups or salts of carboxylic acidgroups are demonstrated to have synergystic interactions with anionic and cationicorganic surfactants to improve the surface characteristics of a solution, requiringunexpectedly low concentrations to obtain specific surface tension values or to attaincritical micelle concentrations in aqueous solutions. Compositions containing an organicsurfactant and a polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer bearing carboxyl groups areclaimed. A method for modifying the surface properties of an aqueous system byemploying such compositions as components of the system is also claimed.
