摘要：Patient monitoring apparatus (100) for use in an environment which includes a
plurality of sensors. The apparatus provides collection and display of patient data signalscollected from a medical patient using the sensors, including periods when the patient isbeing transported. The apparatus comprises a portable monitor (102) coupled to aplurality of distinct data acquisition modules, which are coupled to the sensors. Themodules includes cartridges (160,162,1,166), which detachably mount to the portablemonitor, and pods (150,152,154,156,158) which are positioned independent of themonitor. The pods reduce the number of cables extending between the patient's bedand the portable monitor by combining signals from many sensors into a single outputsignal. The modules collect patient data in analog form from the sensors and providedigital data signals to the monitor. The portable monitor includes: a display device (104)for displaying the patient data, and storage (106) for the patient data. The portablemonitor may be coupled to a docking station (110). The portable monitor receives powerfrom the docking station, and transfers data to a remote display device (120) by way ofthe docking station. Patient data is displayed on either one of the portable monitor (102)or the remote display device (120). A battery pack (166) and a hardcopy output deviceattach to the case of the portable monitor.
