摘要：To improve reflection performance by an air gap.On a glass substrate 10, a corelayer 12 and an upper clad 14 are deposited in thickness of 6 and 3.5 &mu m respectivelyand a mask 16 is vapor-deposited. The core layer 12 and upper clad 14 are etched toremove a part other than a light guide (core) 18 of specific width from the core layer 12,and in the middle of the formed light guide 18, a groove 20 which crosses the light guide18 is formed so as to intrude into the substrate 10. On the 1st supper clad 14, glass 22 of1.45 in refractive index is deposited >=30 &mu m in thickness by a CVD method. Anobtained air bubble 24 comes into contact with the entire end surface of the light guide18 along the height of the light guide 18.
