摘要：The invention relates to a device for adjusting the position of cutting tools () orend tools () in relation to the central axis () of the guide bush () of an automatic lathe. Thedevice according to the invention essentially comprises a miniature CCD camera () which is
equipped with an extension tube () containing a gradient-index lens () and an achromaticlens (). According to the invention, the extension tube () is introduced into the guide bush() and is maintained in place by the workholder of the headstock () which clamps a fixingend piece () which is in turn fixed to the camera housing (). Once introduced into the guidebush, the assembly can be used to obtain an image of the tool through the opening ofthe guide bush. The tool to be position-adjusted is illuminated by a set of light-emittingdiodes (). The image is transmitted to a computer via a cable (). The computer programcan be used to create a pattern on the screen in the form of Cartesian co-ordinates whichare centred around the axis () of the guide bush, to acquire the position of the tool in theco-ordinate system, to compare same to the position thereof in the system of themachine and, subsequently, to adjust the position of the tool taking account of thedifferences between the co-ordinates of the two systems.
