摘要：A digital video data recording system has a signal source, a motion detector, anexternal memory for storing motion vector data, an encoder, a recorder, and a controller.The controller obtains motion vector data and quantization step size data in apreprocessing procedure, and encodes image data using the motion vector data readfrom the external memory and the quantization step size data and records the encodedimage information on a recording medium in a recording process. The digital video datarecording system can encode image information appropriately depending on the type ofthe image information, minimizes the consumption of electric energy by not effecting amotion detecting process in the recording process, and can record all the imageinformation to be recorded on the recording medium.
