摘要：Image characteristics of a finally generated printed image that is reproducedfrom YMCK halftone dot percentage data from an image editor (12) by an image outputunit B (14B) are simulated highly accurately taking into account periodic noise andrandom noise, and the simulated image is outputted by an image output unit A (14A).Specifically, the YMCK halftone dot percentage data from the image editor (12) areconverted into color image data corresponding to image characteristics of the imageoutput unit B (14B) by an LUT combiner/converter (26), and periodic noise and randomnoise that can be produced by the image output unit B (14B) are applied to the colorimage data. The noise-applied color image data are then outputted by the image outputunit A (14A).
