摘要：An electrode assembly includes first and second electrode plates respectivelycomprising first and second active material portions on which first and second activematerials are coated and first and second non-coating portions on which the first andsecond active materials are not coated; a separator interposed between the first andsecond electrode plates; and first and second electrode tabs respectively coupled to thefirst and second non-coating portions. In the electrode assembly, portions of the firstand second non-coating portions are opposite to each other but the first and secondelectrode tabs are not opposite to each other in the electrode plates. The electrodeassembly is formed by winding the first and second electrode plates from the portion atwhich the first and second non-coating portions are opposite to each other. A secondarybattery includes the electrode assembly and a case accommodating the electrodeassembly therein.
