摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical transmission device capable ofsuppressing nonlinear noise including characteristics of the entire optical transmissiondevice in addition to clipping processing of a radio signal. SOLUTION: In an opticaltransmission device including a digital signal processing unit 2 for inputting a multiplexed
radio signal and an optical modulator 4, the digital signal processing unit 2 sets apredetermined threshold value for the radio signal. The digital clipping unit 21 thatperforms clipping processing, the clipping noise removing unit 22 that removes clippingnoise in the signal band of the radio signal and extracts only the clipping noise, and theoptical modulator that combines the radio signal and clipping noise. The signalsynthesizer 23 that outputs the signal input to, the output current change unit 24 thatsets the value of the input current to the optical modulator 4, the current change by theoutput current change unit 24, and the light intensity from the optical modulator 4. Thedigital clipping unit 21 includes a characteristic acquisition unit 25 for measuring thecorrespondence with the signal, and performs clipping processing in consideration of theinput / output characteristics acquired by the characteristic acquisition unit 25.
