摘要：The invention relates to an arrangement for adjusting the position of thecutting means (7) of a cutting device (1 ) meant for cutting vegetation. The cutting means(7) comprise a cutting unit (9) and a lifting and lowering device (4; 4a). According to theinvention, the arrangement comprises measuring elements (10; 10a, 10b) and an adjustingunit (5a), in which arrangement, there is defined an advantageous motional range (L) forthe cutting unit (9), the measuring elements (10; 10a, 10b) are arranged to detect theposition of the cutting unit (9) in relation to an advantageous motional range (L) and totransmit the position data to an adjusting unit (5a); the adjusting unit (5a) is arranged toreceive the position data and to control the lifting and lowering device (4; 4a) on the basisthereof, and the lifting and lowering device (4; 4a) is arranged to adjust the position ofthe cutting unit (9) on the basis of the instructions received in the position adjusting unit(5a) in order to maintain the position of the cutting unit (9) within an advantageousmotional range (L).
