Personal Handover Statement

Vessel: OOCL Ningbo Date: 22-MAY-2014 Port: Hong Kong

Under authorized of the Master of \"OOCL NINGBO\duties to Third officer HUANG KAI on the date 22-MAY-2013, when vessel is alongside at the port of HONG KONG.

1. Navigational Watch 0800-1200 SMT & 2000-0000 SMT 2. Cargo Watch 0800-1200 SMT & 2000-0000 SMT

3. Assist Master to prepare of Port formalities and relevant paper 4. Assist Master to manage the Bonded Store 5. Assist Master to prepare onboard documents 6. Keep safe of keys

General

This is one of SX class vessels which was delivered by Samsung shipyard in South Korea with GRT 097 LOA 323 m and Maximum capacity of 8063 TEU. Reefer capacity is 710 units (Deck-510, Hold-200) with dual voltage of 440 V.

The present service of the ship is MAX. The port rotation is listed as following:

East bound: SHANG HAI - NINGBO- HONG KONG – SHEKOU – SINGAPORE-JEBEL ALI

West bound: DAMMAM –PORT KELANG - SINGAPORE –SHANG HAI

COMPASS ERROR CHECK AND COMPARE COMPASSES FREQUENTLY AND OBTAIN COMPASS ERROR AT LEAST ONCE PRE A WATCH AND ENTER IN COMPASSES OBSERVATION BOOK.PROPER REASON SHOULD BE WRITTEN IF

WEATHER OR CONDITION NOT ALLOWED. THE COMPASS ERROR MUST BE CHECK BY THE OFFICER, EVEN CADETS DONE.

RECEIVE THE WEATHER FAX IF POSSIBLE, KEEP IN MIND THAT

CHANGING FREQUENCY COULD BE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO GET THE BEST RECEPTION.

GMDSS EQUIPMENT EQUIPMENT TEST IS CARRIED OUT AS PER ROSTER, AFTER COMPLETED PLEASE FILL UP GMDSS RADIO LOG AND GMDSS TEST RECORD

FILE.ACCORDING ROSTER YOU WILL TEST GMDSS EQUIPMENT IN JAN 2013.GENERALY GMDSS EQUIPMENT IS IN CHANGE BY SECOND OFF.

MAGNETIC COMPASS

MAGNETIC COMPASS IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER BUT YOU SHOULD CHECK IT ON THE COMPASS DECK BECAUSE THE REPEATER ON THE BRIDGE HAS SOME PROBLEM.

GYROCOMPASS WE HAVE TWO GYROCOMPASSES.THEY ARE LOCATED AT F DECK IN CABLE SPACE AND THEY ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. 2 | Page

RADARS WE HAVE 3 ARPA RADARS ON BOARD AND THEY ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER (ANTENNA SCANNER FOR RADAR NO.3 IS PLACED ON FORWARD MAST) PLEASE BEWARE ABOUT THE 10CM RADAR, THE ANTENNA WAS REPAIRED IN LAST YEAR BEFORE SWITCH ON THE RADAR, YOU HAVE TO CHECK THE ANTENNA IS CLEAR. ALSO THERE HAVE TWO SITUATION, YOU NEED TO SWITCH OFF THE RADAR IMMEDIATELY.

1.) WHEN THE WIND DETECTOR SHOWN THE WIND FROM PORT SIDE AND WIND SPEED MORE THAN 50KNOTS.

2.) WHEN THE WIND COMES FROM STBD SIDE AND YOU FEEL THE WIND IS STRONG.

3.) AS PER MASTER ORDER

ECHO SOUNDER ECHO SOUNDER IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER

GPS AND DGPS WE HAVE TWO DGPS UNITS.BOTH UNITS HAVE A BUIT IN BEACON RECEIVER CAPABLE OF RECEIVING DGPS CORRECTIONS FROM THE SHORE WHEN COASTING IN NEARBY STATION. BUT ONLY NO.1 DGPS IS CONNECTED TO ALL NAVIGATIONAL EQUIPMENT. IN THE CHART ROOM WE HAVE ONE GPS WHICH WE USE ONLY FOR DISPLAY POSITION

ECDIS ECDIS IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.

AUTO PILOT AUTO PILOT IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.PAY ATTENTION TO AUTO PILOT WHEN RUDDER ANGLE IS MORE THEN 10 DEGREES, CHANGE OVER TO MANUAL STEERING .NORMALLY GOOD AUTO PILOT STEERING IS WHEN RUDDER ANGLE IS LES THAN 8 DEGREES.SPD<12KT PLS CHANGE TO H/D.

AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (AIS) THE OWN SHIP DATA IN THE AIS CAN NOT BE CHANGED BECAUSE THEY ARE PROTECTED BY PASSWORD (WE DON’T HAVE THAT PASSWORD). 3 | Page

FOR POWER OFF / POWER ON PASSWORD IS \"0000\". KEEP AIS UPDATED ALL THE TIME.WHEN DEPARTURE CHANGE: DESTINATION, ETA (USE UTC), NAVIGATION STATUS, PERSONS ON BOARD AND DRAUGHT.

ICMS MONITOR ON THE BOTTOM MENU OF ICMS MONITOR DISPLAY SCREEN 1. TO CHECK WHO IS ON DUTY ENGINEER ---- E.A.S.

2. TO CHECK COOLING,BILDGE AND G/S PUMP ---- BILDGE FIRE AND G/S SYS

3. TO CHECK RPM AND M/E LOAD----- M/E OVERWIEW.ENSURE OIL FIGURE BELOW 58 OTHERWISE REDUCE R.P.M. ESPECIALLY NAVIGATE IN SHALLOW WATER

ATA & ATD GPS TRACKING DEVICE WE HAVE TWO GPS TRACKING DEVICES (NO.1 & NO.2).FOR THE MOMENT ONLY NO.1 IS UPDATED AND ALWAYS KEEP IT ON, PLS CHECK ITS WORKING CONDITION WHEN TEST GEAR

BOW THRUSTER WHEN O.H.N. FOR DEPARTURE, FIRST WE SHALL COMFIRM THAT THE B/T VENTS IS OPEN. AND SWITCH ON THE B/T POWER AND PUMP FOR WARM UP. MAKE SURE TO AVOID OVERLOADING, GIVE 30 MIN. NOTICES TO E/R FOR BOW THRUSTER READY. OBS WEATHER OBSERVATION REPORT SHALL BE SENT TO HK (210) WHEN LONGITUDE IS EAST AND USA (201) WHEN LONGITUDE IS WEST VIA INMARSAT-C AS POSSIBLE AS YOU CAN

Document and Paper works

Arrival and Departure Condition 4 | Page

Please make sure that there are sufficient for use. Make it as soon as possible while arriving or departure ports, prepare in 4 copies for Bridge, E/R, C/O and agent.

*****Arrival and Departure report shall properly filled up in the deck log book

Port of call lists Please prepare 1 additional copy at each port for C/O uses.

Stowaway Search Form Please prepare for each port when departure, stick to deck log book when all the relevant personnel have been signed.

HKENG 2A & MLC 2006 SEA (OOCL Seafarers Employment Agreement) Whenever there is crew changing, please assist Master to prepare the HKENG2 form which must be signed by each new joining personnel.

Due to MLC 2006 entry in force in the year of 2013, new format of agreement are provided to each ship by OOCL. Therefore, prepare 2 copies (with original signed by Master and new joiner) for each new joining personnel, 1 for Master keeps, and 1 for crew member keeps.

Notice of Draught (Keep in SMC, stick at the wall near the upper deck portside exit) The notice of draught should be filled up when actual departure draught is available and post it on immediately. The reference freeboard figure is 19404mm according to the finished drawing instead of 24628mm.

Assist Master to prepare OOCL I.D. card Ask Master for the number of I.D card with signature you need whenever new joiner onboard.

For officer, expiry date is 8 months from the date of sign on For crew, expiry date is 11 months from the date of sign on

US shore pass Make US shore pass for all personnel who is the first time arrival of US on this vessel.

Record of all personnel certificate and documents Ensure all personal certificate and documents are valid.

For PRC seafarers, there are new certificates regarding the health and all basic safety training, which is an A5 size double page color print paper only, for comply with the MLC 2006. From the date of 1st January 2014, all the seafarers must have Security

Awareness (S.A) Certificates and officer and engineer excluding cadets are required additional certificates called Designated Security Duties (DSD). Please be aware of this new requirement. Ensure all the documents are signed by the holder.

Port Paper All paper need original signed, cannot copy. All port paper crew rank use QM & OILER.

Shipboard Certificates Due to this is the new service for this vessel, Most of the port is the first time to arrive, 6 | Page

port authority and agent may require different kinds of certificate, please well noted.

Bonded Store Submit the bonded store account to Master at the end of each month.

Refer to SQE manual, each crew is allowed to order 2 case of beer and 4 carton of cigarette

HATCH COVERS PLEASE KEEP AN EYE WHILE OPENING OR CLOSING HATCH COWERS 7 | Page

GEAR BOXES THERE ARE THREE 40 FEET GEAR BOXES.EACH ONE HAVE 14 BINS.

CHECKING OF THE REEFERS IN THE MORNING REEFERS ARE CHECKED BY R/E/E.IN AFTERNOON ARE CHECKED BY DECK OFFICER.FOR THE MOMENT 2/O AND TWO 3/O ARE ROSTING EVERY WEEK STARTING FROM MONDAY TILL SUNDAY.AFTER CHECK REEFERS ENTER TEMPERATURES IN REEFER LOG BOOK.

AIR DRAUGHT SHIP`S HEIGHT FROM KEEL IS 61.5 m .ON THE TOP OF AFT MAST THERE IS AN INMARSAT-C ANTENNA ABOUT ONE METER HEIGHT,WHICH CAN BE LOWERED DOWN SO THAT THE HEIGHT CAN BE REDUCED TO 60.5 m. AIR DRAUGHT CAN BE CALCULATED BASED ON THESE TWO FIGURES DEPEND OF THE ACTUAL CONDITION.
