Among many factors of commodity competition in international market,quality, price and packing design are three main ones. One foreignmarketing study expert says, “Of all the paths to market, packaging is themost important one.” Packing has become an indiscerptible part ofnowadays commodity production and been integrated into development,design and production of various products. Almost all goods should bepacked before going into the exchange channel.

2.在国际贸易中,诸如销售、采购、运输、保险、广告、金融等都广泛采用代理方式。我国在进出口业务中也广泛地运用了代理方式。委托人通过代理方式,利用代理人在国际市场上的地位、销售渠道及其专业知识,委派代理人去开拓市场,组织销售和进货,进行售后服务,传播信息等。代理人则可得到一定的佣金报酬。

In international trade, agency is extensively used in sales, purchase,

transport, insurance, advertisement and finance. It is also used widely in our import and export. Through agency, principal entrusts agent to establish market, manage sales and purchase, offer after-sales service and transmit information, taking use of agent’s status, marketing channels and

professional knowledge in international trade. Agent can obtain commission for return.

3 国际贸易中心经常发生索赔现象。索赔有几种不同的类型:质量索赔、短重索赔、延期装运索赔、损坏索赔等。一旦发生索赔,买方应在规定的世间爱年内,通常是到货后60天内向卖方提出索赔,并出具有关检验机构的证明材料。卖方收到索赔信后应着手进行详细调查,查明需负责的一方,并向买方表明接受索赔与否。如果查明是卖方负责,须按商定数额进行赔偿。 Claims occur frequently in international trade. Thereare different kinds of claim claim on quality, claim on short weight, claimon delayed shipment and claim on damage. Once claim occurs, the buyershall lodge a claim within stipulated time usually within 60 days afterarrival of goods against the seller supported by materials issued byinspection institute concerned. Upon receipt of the claim, the seller will

make a careful investigation of the case to find out the party that shall beresponsible for the claim and notify the buyer if he entertains the claim ornot. When the seller is proved to be responsible, he should makecompensation as agreed.
