Know the life in space. 2. The sunrise and sunset in space. Teaching Aids: Transparency, a tape recorder, picture cards. Teaching Steps: I. Greeting and everyday English. II. Revision 1. Use pictures /Transparency to review the sun, the earth, and other planets. 2. Have a dictation of the new words in the former parts. III. Part C 1. Show Transparency. Talk something about the story. 2. Teach the new words in Part C. 3. Play the tape and let the students listen and repeat. 4. Ask some questions about the story. 5. Talk with the students about the daily life in space. 6. Ask them how it is different from the life on the earth or if they know anything about space food and spacesuits. IV. Part D 1. Ask the students to practise reading the story in pairs. 2. Ask the students to read the questions and answer the questions. Homework: 1. Tell the story to their friends. 2. Copy the story once. Writing: Unit 3 Space (Parts C&D) a scientist---works in the space station There is no gravity so it is easier to make them. There is a sunrise or sunset every 45 minutes. Teaching Feedback(教学反思) : In this period the students learn about the knowledge of the things in space, such as the sun, the Earth, the moon , and so on. The students are very interested in learning about them. However, it is not easy to learning them well. It’s difficult for the students to learn them well and it’s also difficult for the teachers to teach them well.
